Challenger gets Windsor-1 primary victory

This region’s only Vermont House primary race ended with two Hartland residents – one of them a newcomer to politics – getting the most votes.

On Tuesday night, challenger Zach Ralph (D/Prog) and incumbent John Bartholomew (D) won the Democratic primary for the two-seat Windsor-1 district, representing Hartland, Windsor and West Windsor. Incumbent Democrat Paul Belaski of Windsor was defeated.
