One of the region’s post well-known athletic events is coming to Mount Ascutney in Brownsville this weekend.
Formerly called the Harpoon Point to Point, the “Point to Point,” powered by VSECU, is a fundraising event that benefits the Vermont Foodbank. It takes place on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 5:30 a.m.-7 p.m. at Mount Ascutney at 400 Ski Tow Road in Brownsville.
The event includes cycling (riding) and running options on rides that go throughout the local region. Riding options include 100-, 50-, and 25- mile road rides and a 20- and 10-mile trail bike ride. New this year, the Point to Point includes a half marathon.
