A 60-year-old Springfield man was struck and killed on Interstate 91 Wednesday night.
Arthur Huston was found dead in the passing lane of I-91 north in Hartland after state police determined he was hit by two vehicles around 10:30 p.m.
Police say a Jeep Liberty driven by 25-year-old Langdon, New Hampshire resident Aaron Lafayette moved into the passing lane, away from a vehicle parked on the shoulder, when it hit Huston. Then, Huston was hit by a Mini Cooper, driven by 32-year-old White River Junction resident Joshua J. Nordman.
Police received a call about a “slow-moving vehicle” in the area, prior to the accident, which is still under investigation.
