This morning, on Friday, March 30, an old stone railing of Bridge 51 was taken down as part of bridge replacement project that started nearly two weeks ago on Central Street near the Woodstock Post Office. There is currently no on-street parking along the area of the bridge on either side. The Post Office remains accessible by foot. Traffic is still open to two lanes, however there is stoppage at times due to the project.
A three-week bridge closure is expected to start on April 16, with the bridge re-opening to traffic May 7. The project is expected to finish in June.
