The Woodstock Select Board plans to lower the proposed increase in the amount to be raised by taxes for the town budget to 2.3 percent, after voters rejected the original proposal at Town Meeting, according to an announcement at the board’s meeting Monday.
Board members agreed this week to sign the warning on April 9 for a Special Town Meeting, which will be held May 15 to consider the new budget proposal.
The Select Board’s next regularly scheduled meeting is on April 9 at 6 p.m. at Woodstock Town Hall.
