The National Weather Service in Burlington has issued a winter weather advisory for Windsor County that will remain in effect until 7 a.m. Friday. Travel conditions are hazardous throughout the area, with reduced visibility. NWS officials warned motorists to allow extra time if travel is necessary and to use caution. Three to five inches of snow were expected, with some localized amounts reaching up to eight inches.
The NWS also issued a wind chill warning for the region, which will remain in effect from 4 a.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday. Wind gusts of up to 45 mph are expected, with wind chills plunging to 30 to 45 below zero.
