State police are investigating the untimely death of a five-month-old infant from Hartland who died Sunday while being babysat by family members.
Wyatt Morrill, the son of Kristi Bonnell and Timothy Morrill of Hartland, died Sunday morning when he discovered unresponsive at the South Royalton home of Autumn Pearson and Randy Morrill (family members who were asked to babysit).
South Royalton Rescue arrived and began resuscitation efforts as they transported the baby to Gifford Hospital where the infant was later pronounced dead.
The death is still under investigation. State Police Lt. Dan Trudeau said the baby had bronchial issues prior to dying but he does not know if that contributed to his death.
There were “no visible signs of trauma,” he said.
Trudeau was still waiting for autopsy results Monday morning.
