Sunrise Service, Woodstock
Every year the Easter Sunrise Service is held at the South Peak of Mt. Tom on Easter Sunday. Walkers please gather at the church at 6 a.m.; we’ll carpool to Faulkner Park and hike to the summit “cross and star” where the service will begin shortly after 7 a.m. Many parents have found the early morning trek and outdoor service to be a family tradition their children long remember! Please bring food to share for a very informal fellowship breakfast following the hike. We never have too many decorated, hard-boiled eggs! For those hiking, sturdy shoes, clothing appropriate for the weather, water to drink and a plastic bag to sit on are recommended. For those not hiking, help is needed setting up and in the kitchen. All are welcome to come just for the breakfast which will begin as the fastest hikers descend at around 8 a.m.
