Verona Hopping – A full obituary will appear at a later date for Verona E. Hopping, 99, who died on Jan. 8, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. The Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock is in charge of arrangements.

Woodstock girls took on Chester’s Green Mountain High School, the Wasps walked away with the win 36-34 at home.

Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich hosted a Free celebration with activities and speeches. The Museum turned 40 this year.

WUHS Nordic Home Meet
The Woodstock Nordic ski teams hosted a meet this week. The venue was changed from the high school campus to the Woodstock Inn Nordic Center due to lack of snow.

Quechee Church Closed Its Doors
After 142 years hosting Sunday Service and various other events in town, the Quechee Community Church congregants came together one last time in their aging church for a Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration.
