Police are looking for a man who robbed People’s United Bank in Woodstock around 3 p.m. Monday.
A white man, possibly in his 20s, wearing black pants, a dark jacket, black gloves and a ski mask walked in the bank and handed a note to a bank employee demanding money, according to Woodstock Police Chief Robbie Blish, who was inside the bank Monday around 4 p.m. investigating the crime. The employee gave the suspect an unknown amount of money. No weapon was visible, according to police.
Police were not able to determine which way the suspect fled.
A line formed outside the bank around 4:15 p.m. as bank employees attempted to handle transactions through the bank’s front door.
